These napkin designs are not particularly aesthetically pleasing, although they have inspired me with some ideas for promoting Glayva:
I think that using a handwritten font would work as a concept as it mimics the way that say someone who works in advertising may record and idea that comes to them whilst having a drink. These are the sort of customers that Glayva want to attract. However, the typeface would have to be designed by us I think as most 'handwritting' fonts look quite tacky and would give off the wrong impression for the brand. This would almost be more of an image based design.
When sitting or standing at a bar, people are almost always there for the purpose of socializing and so are almost always conversing. An interesting or humorous phrase, quote, joke etc on a napkin could definitely become a talking point. If its memorable enough, then the Glayva brand could be remembered or associated with it. At the very least, it will get it recognized.
An aesthetically pleasing image based design somewhere featuring the Glayva logo could be enough to get it noticed....
This simple typography and colour palette effectively communicates the level of class and quality of the brand. This is something that is important to portraying the Glayva brand.
