Image driven type examples

These are a selection of type driven image examples that I particularly liked or found especially interesting from a book called 'Alphabets; a miscellany of letters' by David Sacks, published by Black Dog Publishing.


I found this introduction by David Sacks really interesting as he discusses the myth that type has nothing to do with image, and how each letter form reflects its original pictorial depiction....
